What do you mean by DT ? What is the official limit of DT of Film Coated & Uncoated Tablets?

Disintegration: The process by which the tablets are broken in small particles in suitable solvent.                                                       

The Official Limit of Disintegration:

The official limit of disintegration for uncoated Tablet is not more then 15 minutes and for coated Tablet is not more then 30 minutes. For enteric coating it two hrs (1 hr in Gastric Simulated Fluid and 1 hr in Intestinal Simulated Fluid). Disintegration & dissolution are closely correlated. Because dissolution is directly proportional to the disintegration time.
